Specialist light bulbs cover a vast array of lighting solutions from Aquarium Lighting to Photographic Lighting with other ranges such as swimming pool lamps and quartz halogen heater lamps in between.

However it is very important that the consumer uses the correct lamp in the correct fitting as it can be extremely dangerous to install the incorrect light bulb.

Aquarium Lighting and Reptile light is important as should the incorrect lamp be used it can severely in danger the life and health of the wet pets or the retiles that require the correct blend of colour rendering and UVA and UVB light spectrums.

Photographic Light Bulbs have a vast range for many different types of applications. These applications can be back drop lighting, display lighting, flash photography and much more. However to achieve the correct result the photographer requires to use the correct colour and wattage of lamp to achieve the setting required. The photographic range also covers dark room lighting such as red R10 fluorescent tubes, all of which are now becoming increasingly difficult to obtain.

It clearly goes without saying that you simply can’t place any light bulbs in a water filled swimming poll as this would be extremely dangerous. Therefore most swimming pools use a 12 volt PAR56 light bulb, which is low voltage and high output to give the maximum light intensity possible from the lowest voltage.

Many public houses and public buildings due to the smoking ban now provide a place outside for smokers to congregate. These shelter or open spaces are quite often heated using Quart Halogen Infra Red Heater Lamps. Once again it is very important to ensure that you don’t put an infra red heater light bulb in any fitting, as the fittings are specially manufacturers to withstand the extreme heat produced from the infra red lamps.

Every house in the UK generally has a fridge or oven complete with a cooker hood which is lit by a small light bulb. These light bulbs are also specialist as the either have to be able to withstand high or low temperatures. Ever manufactures light bulbs for fridges, cookers and cooker hoods are available from stock and can be delivered the next day if required.

There are many types of protected fluorescent tubes that in case of breakage will stay in one piece. Cov-R-Guard is a great example of these types of specialist fluorescent tubes that have a polycarbonate sleeve that will contain the lamp in case of breakage. There are also may other manufacturers names for shatterproof lamps as they are some times called such as T8 Luxline Plus, Master TLD Secura or SPS Splinter protection.
